What do I need to hire a trailer?
- A valid driver’s license.
- A vehicle with the appropriate towing capacity.
- A compatible hitch system on your vehicle.
Do I need insurance to hire a trailer?
No, all of our trailers are already covered by insurance. Be sure to read our terms and conditions for the details.
Can I take a hired trailer out of state?
Yes, we understand that events and situations may occur and use of our trailers can be required in other states. It is just requested that we are made aware, should this need arise.
Do I need trailer brakes fitted to my vehicle?
Yes, all of our trailers are fitted with electric trailer brakes. Therefore, your tow vehicle must also be correctly fitted with electric trailer brakes. If your tow vehicle does not have electric trailer brakes, these can be hired via our online store.
What happens if the trailer gets damaged while I have it?
You should report any damage to us as soon as possible. The trailers are insured but you may be responsible for the cost of repairs if only minor or payment of the excess.
Do I need a special license to tow a trailer?
No, a standard drivers licence is sufficient to tow our trailers. However, we will not rent a trailer to a person on a learners permit. Nil insurance coverage will apply for a learner driver. The renter may be liable for all costs in this case if damage to persons or property occurs as a result.
