What happens after I book?
Booking confirmation & licence verification
Once your booking is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email with your booking details, pickup location, hire times, and trailer information.
You'll then verify your driver's licence — just follow the verification link in your confirmation email to complete the process.
Can't complete it that way? Upload your licence through our Manual ID Verification page and our team will review it as soon as possible, so your booking is approved before pickup.
One hour before your hire
Around one hour before your scheduled pickup, you'll receive another email with your pickup instructions.
Click View Booking Details, complete the quick pickup checklist, and your unique key box code is revealed. This code opens the secure key box holding the trailer key, and is only active during your booked hire period.
Pick up your trailer
Arrive at your selected JD Trailer Hire location at your booked pickup time.
Use your key box code to unlock the secure key box, remove the coupling lock, hitch the trailer to your vehicle — and you're ready to go.
Return your trailer
Return the trailer to the same pickup location before your hire ends.
Once you've unhitched, place the key back into the secure key box, lock everything up, and follow the return instructions included in your booking details.
